There is a version of the morning that begins with four cables and a certain amount of reaching behind furniture. This replaces it with one. Screen, network, storage, headphones and power all arrive through a single USB-C plug, and the desk becomes something you sit down at rather than assemble.

We chose it for the two ports most hubs leave out. VGA, because meeting rooms are slower to change than laptops are. Wired Ethernet, because the calls that matter are the ones you cannot afford to drop.

Before you choose

The Ethernet runs at 100Mbps — ample for calls, mail and cloud work, but not gigabit, so it is worth knowing if you move very large files across a network daily. Treat HDMI and VGA as alternatives rather than a way to run two monitors. No charger is supplied; the 100W pass-through uses your own.
