Terms of service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern use of the Caelix website and purchases made through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not place an order. Important information about delivery, returns and privacy is set out in the Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. About Caelix

Caelix is an online retailer selling to customers in the United Kingdom. In these terms, "Caelix", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the trader operating the store. You can reach us through the Contact page or at support@caelixtech.com.

Caelix is based outside the United Kingdom and sells to customers in the UK. Our contact details are set out in our Contact Information policy, linked from every page.

3. Who may place an order

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract and must give accurate information when ordering. If you buy on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

4. Products and information

We aim to present descriptions, images, prices and availability clearly. Colours and appearance may vary by screen, and measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise. Information supplied by manufacturers may be updated from time to time. Nothing here affects your rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). UK delivery is free, so the price you see is the price you pay. The total payable is shown before you place your order, and no further charges are added afterwards.

Payment is processed through Shopify-hosted checkout and the payment methods offered there. Caelix never asks customers to send full payment-card details through the Contact page or by email.

6. Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to buy the items in your basket. The automated acknowledgement confirms we received the order; it does not by itself mean we have accepted it. The contract is formed when we confirm dispatch of the item, unless the checkout or confirmation message clearly states another point of acceptance. If we cannot accept an order, any amount taken for the affected item is refunded.

7. Availability and order changes

All orders are subject to availability. We may decline or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, including an unavailable item, an obvious pricing error, inability to authorise payment, or inability to deliver to the address given. We will explain the issue where reasonably possible and refund any payment taken for an item we cannot supply.

8. Delivery

Delivery areas, charges and delay procedures are explained in the Shipping Policy. UK delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend. Items are dispatched from more than one location, so delivery time varies by product. Unless a longer period is agreed with you beforehand, goods are delivered within 30 days of the order being placed.

9. Cancellations, returns and refunds

The Refund Policy explains our 30-day return period, our practice of refunding lower-value items without requiring a return, and the statutory rights available to UK consumers. Nothing in these terms restricts rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or under distance-selling rules.

10. Accounts and sign-in

Some features use Shopify customer accounts. You are responsible for keeping your access credentials confidential and for giving accurate account information. Contact us if you believe an account has been used without permission.

11. Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, use automated tools in a way that damages the service, or use the site for unlawful or fraudulent activity.

12. Intellectual property

The Caelix name, wordmark, site design and original site content are owned by or licensed to Caelix. Product names, trademarks and imagery may belong to their respective owners. You may use the site for personal shopping and reference, but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission.

13. Third-party services

This store runs on Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform, customer accounts and hosted checkout, and processes payments through the methods enabled there. Carriers and other service providers are used to fulfil and deliver orders. Separate terms and privacy information may apply when you use a third-party service. We remain responsible for our own obligations, and this clause is not used to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Our responsibility

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods. If you use products mainly for business purposes, consumer protections may not apply in the same way.

15. Changes to the website or these terms

We may update the website and these terms to reflect changes in the service, the business or the law. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not retrospectively alter an order already accepted, unless the law requires otherwise or you agree.

16. Governing law and disputes

If you are a consumer, these terms are governed by the law that applies where you live within the United Kingdom, and you may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under UK law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern directly — this does not limit your right to seek independent advice or legal redress.

17. Contact

Questions about these terms, an order or a product can be sent through the Contact page or to support@caelixtech.com. Our contact details are set out in our Contact Information policy.
