Two things go in nearly every bag and do the same job at different times of day. This is both. Plugged into the mains it is a fast charger; unplugged, it is a battery that has already refilled itself.

We chose it for the number that matters most: 65W is enough to run a USB-C laptop, not just top up a phone. Added to that, a Qi2 magnetic pad and three ports, so it replaces the charger, the battery and the wireless pad in one.

Before you choose

It is not small — a 20,000mAh battery with a mains plug built in never is. It is a bag item, not a pocket item. At 77Wh it sits under the 100Wh limit most airlines apply and must travel in hand luggage; check your airline before flying. Wireless charging (15W) is slower than the wired ports (up to 65W) — use USB-C when speed matters. UK, EU, US and AU plug adapters are included.
